Vagamon is around 90 km from Kochi airport. It takes around 3 hours to drive through the hilly terrain. The roads are full of head spins (we suggest taking precautions if you have motion sickness) and covered with a blanket of greenery all around.

Vagamon Kurishumala Church
Kurishumala is a famous church in Wagamon, many Christian pilgrims visit this church every year around the Good Friday week. It is also very famous among trekkers visiting Kerala.
These are egg-shaped mountains covered with lush green grass all over. There are 10 of these mountains lying one after the other, perfect for a walk in the evening. If you are a 90’s kid, you might find these as an exact replica of the Teletubbies’ hills.
While you are at Wagamon, an early morning trek along a tree plantation hill is a mandate. A small trek will cover up your workout for the day and the view of the rising sun from the top is a spectacular sight you don’t want to miss.
Vagamon Pine Forests
Wagamon is covered with dense pine trees all over. If you are a fan of off-roading and exploring adventurous places, well these roads call for a treat.
Palozhukumpara waterfalls also known as Wagamon waterfalls are close to the Pine Forest. If you happen to visit this place around September, you will be able to witness the cool and refreshing atmosphere around these waterfalls.
This is an arch-shaped dam constructed across the Periyar river between in Kerala. It is a must-visit kind of spot if you have made a visit to Idukki.
The dam is open for tourists only on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, please plan your travel around those days.
